I reinstalled everything and it works again. I had no beta though, so it's strange and annoying that the problem is unclear, but at least it works again. Thank you for your reply!

I would guess you need to save it's plugins as well, since they most likely use a plugin to hide parts of the character.

I'm intending to reinstall VAM. Last time I deleted VAM and reinstalled it, somehow some files I've downloaded were still there. How do I completely reset the VAM to it's original new format?

Is the helmet an asset? Load the scene, click edit mode, then look at the list of atoms and assets in the scene (you might need to press show hidden). If you see any Custom Unity assets, check what they are...if one of them is the helmet, that's the problem...CUAs don't save with appearance presets. If you load the appearance, you'll need to add the helmet as an asset and position/link it to the head.

There are plugins on the Hub that will help with CUAs for looks, and there are session plugins that will load a saved CUA preset for a particular appearance and load it in the correct position when you load the appearance.

Anyone has suggestions for a good Claire Redfield look from RE2? I know there are a few free ones too on the Hub but wanted to ask for opinions rather than trying them out.

update: i finally got it working, as for some reason even though i had no spaces anywhere when inserting the key, i randomly went to try it again, and it worked. whatever all that matters now is i am in, i got a better far better pc then i had before i last tried VAM.

the helmet is an asset (CUA). u need to use

to save the "attached" cuas as preset, so you can load them later in your scene

Is there any shortcut or special plugin to adding bones to a model? I managed to find a XNALara model that can be converted into VaM off of DeviantArt, but the whole bones thing is baffling, to me.

, also why are you using straight up xps models, it doesnt work well with vam from my expreience. have you tried the "porting to vam" thing where you wrap the model onto g2f model and then converting it to morph?

Say what? How do you do that?

I had the XNALara model loader mod, not the other one. I'll fiddle with that I guess.

EDIT: Heh, I tried working with the CUA/XPS controller. It adds bones but it adds like 30x more than a standard morph, which is causing it to go apeshit.

. its not easy if the model is vastly different from base g2f model. but it can be done (some manual tweaks needed in blender)

Vam renders? This is a realtime 3D "game" if you wanna call it that.
There are indeed some visual novel like scenes free on the hub you can just download and play.

So you mean a engine where you just insert screenshots of vam or a preset for that engine of some sorts?
There is plenty of vam related video content on rule34video where you can check out the graphics.
But if you wanna know what VaM is capable from a high tier VaM Video Creator, check out "Urbanator" if you havent heard of him.
